Taxation consultancy services to accountants and other professional firms

We work with accountants and other professional advisers (lawyers, IFAs) to provide complementary tax and NIC advice. We aim to support and complement the traditional accountancy services of the existing advisor. We can also introduce other service providers, such as lawyers, banks and IFAs. For example, it may be helpful to have access to a lawyer who specialises in tax planning Wills, drafting trust documents or setting up share schemes.

We operate a strict "no poaching" arrangement to give accountants access to specialist tax advice for a client without the risk of losing the client. Accountants, in particular, who do not have access to specialist taxation advice run the risk of being sued for negligence and/or losing their clients to other accountants who can provide this service.

Our areas of expertise include (but are not restricted to):

  • Inheritance Tax planning
  • Capital Gains Taxes Planning (especially re Business Asset taper Relief)
  • Revenue Enquiries
  • Tax and NIC on remuneration issues, including PAYE enquires and P11D issues
  • Share schemes
  • Extracting money from family companies
  • Structuring businesses to minimise tax
  • Property taxation issues, from letting income to property transactions
  • Trusts issues, including the use of trusts in tax planning
  • Residence and Domicile issues

We are happy to provide a day’s general tax consultancy or on a project basis, and can undertake quality control reviews for small firms. We can also provide a speaker at suitable venues for professional firms who wish to add value to their seminars.

Fees are agreed up front and we are happy to work entirely in the background or meet clients.
